CODE RED: The AI Threat Targeting Children Is Worse Than You Think
A new book exposes how predators use AI deepfakes and chatbots to target minors. The culture war just moved to a terrifying new front.
The AI Threat to Kids is Worse Than You Think
We've spent the last decade arguing over what kids are taught in schools and what books are in the library. But there is a new, rapidly accelerating threat to children that most parents don't fully understand yet: Artificial Intelligence.
A new book by Breitbart News social media director Wynton Hall, titled CODE RED, exposes exactly how AI is being weaponized by predators to target, groom, and exploit minors. And the details should be a massive wake-up call for every parent in America.
The Deepfake Crisis
Predators no longer need physical access to a child to create abusive material. They just need a photo. According to multiple child protection organizations, AI tools are increasingly being used to create "synthetic" child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Apps marketed as harmless "photo editors" or "fun filters" are being weaponized for what experts call "nudification" — taking an innocent photo of a child and generating a highly realistic, explicit fake. These images are then used for bullying, harassment, or financial sextortion.
According to the anti-trafficking organization Thorn, 10% of financial sextortion cases now involve AI-generated images. The victims are often too ashamed or terrified to come forward, fearing no one will believe the images are fake.
AI Companions: The Ultimate Grooming Tool
Perhaps even more dangerous than image manipulation is the rise of AI "companions." Predators are using sophisticated chatbots and live-streaming platforms to build relationships with children.
These AI personas never sleep, never lose patience, and are programmed to be perfectly engaging. They bypass a child's natural defenses, gaining trust over time through private, encrypted messaging before introducing manipulative or coercive behavior.
Hall's advice in CODE RED is uncompromising: parents must enforce zero AI character or companion access for their children.
States Are Stepping Up, But It's Not Enough
While the federal government has been slow to react, state Attorneys General are beginning to escalate their scrutiny of online platforms. They are shifting focus from individual offenders to the tech companies themselves, demanding accountability for the tools they build and host.
However, state regulators face massive hurdles: jurisdictional issues across state lines, anonymized users, and technical limitations in tracking AI model logs.
The Grassroots Reality
For years, Big Tech has promised that their platforms are safe for kids. For years, they have been wrong. Now, they've unleashed a technology that supercharges the worst elements of the internet.
Parental rights aren't just about what happens in the classroom anymore. They are about maintaining total visibility into what children are interacting with on their devices. The threat isn't coming; it's already here in the palm of their hands.
